e-Learning Jamaica

A comprehensive set of instructional materials for both teachers and students for each grade (7-11) in all eleven (11) CXC CSEC subjects.  These are: English Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Integrated Science, Resource Technology/Information Technology, Spanish, Geography, Building Technology, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.  Manuals will facilitate practical, hands-on learning, self directed learning and  student assignments.

The content is available on all electronic media  – computers, CD ROM, DVD Cable TV,. audio or video tape, web-based, virtual classrooms and digital collaboration via intranet/extranet……

TIMs and SIMs- Materials for teachers (TIMs) and students (SIMs), customized to provide high standards of lesson plans, teachers’ guides, project activities, and assignments in the targeted project subjects

Video Lecture Series- High quality video lectures on DVD and Cable TV for all eleven (11) subjects  and all grade levels.  focusing on  ‘hard to grasp’ topics

Item Bank -This is a resource bank of questions with answers in open, essay and multiple choice formats in each subject for each grade to facilitate rapid preparation and correction of tests, self-study and self-testing by students and for continuous student assessment.  .  Item bank workshops are held for teachers to enhance item-writing skills. The target is 25,000 items

Educational Software- Integrated Learning Software to assist in self-paced pursuit of grasping challenging concepts and topics
